White Waves
The Social Devotional 5.5 x 8_edited.jpg
A new quality of life — that’s a promise. Most everyone longs for something better, yet true transformation begins within. My own circumstances never changed until I made a decision to change the inner man. The old patterns of thought had to go. The habit of repeating the same ideas — many of which had little truth — had to be replaced with God’s Word.

Lasting change doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a day-by-day process, a walk of growth and faith. Scripture reminds us that we are “changed from glory to glory.” (2 Corinthians 3:18) And Colossians 2:10 declares, “Ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.”

When we understand that we now serve the Lord — not ourselves or the opinions of others — everything shifts. People-pleasing is a dead end. The Apostle Paul teaches us to develop a Christlike attitude: “Put off your old self… and put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22–24)

Many remain stuck in the same routines, wishing life were different. But wishing changes nothing. Wishing says, “Maybe someday.” Faith says, “I’ll begin today.” Our time on this earth is brief. As the years pass, none of us want to look back with regret that we failed to use the gifts, skills, and opportunities God placed within us.
